I Have Developed A Routine To Maximize My Time

I live a busy life, and I am generally on the go. Sometimes, the hours feel as if they slip away before I even have the chance to accomplish what I initially set out to do.

Because of this, I take an active stance against procrastination and time-sucking habits.

Each morning, I make a conscious effort to wake up at or before 6:00am. I eat breakfast and take care of personal projects that must be done before getting ready for work.

Maintaining a routine in the morning helps me to maximize my productivity because my energy is at its peak.

While at work, I focus on a single task at a time. Of course, I am tempted to check my messages or just make a quick update to another project. But I resist the urge.

For some people, multitasking may be effective. But I find that multitasking decreases my productivity and ability to focus.

In my personal life, I designate a specific amount of time for browsing the web. When my time is up, I am done for the day. I avoid being a slave to my computer or other time wasters!

I dedicate the time I save to more fulfilling activities, such as spending time with my family and seeing my friends face-to-face rather than on Facebook. Nothing is more fulfilling than intimate gatherings with my loved ones!

My routine works well for me.

Today, I implement my routine to the best of my ability. The familiarity of a routine allows me to maximize my efficiency and helps me feel more at ease when conquering a hectic schedule.

Self-Reflection Questions:

  1. Do I sabotage my routine by devoting too much time to simple tasks?
  2. What changes must I make in order to achieve work-life balance?
  3. Will outsourcing certain tasks minimize my stress level?

Take your answers and turn them into positive, resolute statements that give you concrete goals on which to focus immediately. Be honest, work hard, and watch yourself transform for the better!
